“We're recognising the campaigns and strategies where insights have been gleaned, hearts and minds were captured, and most importantly – impressive results were achieved. Making it through as a finalist is always a great achievement in itself, and this year's finalists represent the work that has truly attained excellence in 2011” says Sue McCarty, Chief Executive of the Marketing Association.

McCarty continues “It’s also our pleasure to recognise the up and coming talent in the industry by announcing the finalists for the New Zealand Post Student Marketer of the Year Award, who this year responded to a challenging brief from Telecom on how to capture the hearts, minds and mobiles of the Auckland youth market.”

Winners will be revealed at the Awards night on Friday 24 February 2012 at the Langham Hotel, Auckland. Bookings can be made online.

New Zealand’s marketing industry has been called on today to enter the 2011 RSVP and Nexus Awards.

Announcing this year’s call for entries; Sue McCarty, Chief Executive at the Marketing Association (MA) encourages marketing professionals to showcase their shining examples of campaigns and projects that demonstrate the very best in insight-driven marketing that generates an outstanding measurable response.

Speaking of the crux of the awards, McCarty reinforces that “one of the single most important things that we as marketers possess, is insight. The invaluable customer insight we draw from data helps capture the hearts and minds of our audience, and ultimately drives unprecedented results”.

The awards are broken down into three main categories:  RSVP Awards which recognise outstanding marketing campaigns; RSVP Craft Awards that celebrate the ‘art’ of a campaign’s individual elements; and Nexus Awards which recognise excellence in creating the foundations on which measurable campaigns are based.

Those hoping to strike gold this year are encouraged to navigate the awards website to unlock the How-To Guide for tips on creating an award-winning entry…and the chance to win a Samsung Galaxy 10.1” tablet.

Entries close: 5pm Friday 21 October 2011.
